If you ever have the urge to go to a local cafe with your friends, you will be shocked at the quality and variety of food options available. From their menu to the ambiance, there is something for everyone who visits.
In the new documentary ‘This American Life’ author David Simon takes a look at how local food providers are responding to the fast changing food culture. He talks about how people are eating out more now, and how they are not just eating fast food, they are eating the same high quality food that they used to eat.
If you want to eat the same food that you used to eat, you are going to have to eat it somewhere. To eat at a restaurant as a guest, you will need to book a table. But to eat at a local cafe, you will need to get your friends together to dine together.
So you’re going to have to plan ahead, right? You’re not just going to have to sit down at a restaurant with no reservation, are you? You definitely need to be aware of what you’re ordering, how you’re ordering it, and how your dining companions are ordering it. The more you know about what to expect, the better.
The last thing you want to do before you sit down at a restaurant is to get hung up on all the food and drink options. There are a lot of food options at Miller’s Cafe. As a guest you get to choose your own menu, ask the waiter questions, and see what drinks and food are available. On the same level, you can ask questions of the staff. Theyre not always going to know the answers to questions you ask.
I love restaurants. They always know the best things to order, and they always know what to do if you get lost or confused.
When I first moved to the Los Angeles area, I visited Millers Cafe twice a week (I love it). Not only did I find the food great, but I also found the staff helpful and friendly. I can tell you that I was comfortable sitting at the bar and ordering a drink when I needed one. I know that the bartender could tell me what I wanted because I asked.
What I love about Millers Cafe is the service. People there always seem to know what you need and how you want to be served. At my last visit, because I was in the middle of a particularly intense project, a waitress took all of the time I needed to make sure we were all getting the right thing. I’ve found that I always have a good time at Millers Cafe.
The service can be a little impersonal at Millers Café, but that doesn’t faze me. It’s definitely in the same league as the best bar in Seattle. I’ve actually been there quite a few times and have had a good time.
Millers Cafe is actually owned by the same group that owns the coffee shop that used to be called The Lounge, but that’s another story.
